If you use Windows 10 AKA Cancer 10, you may have noticed that after installing that (P)OS's "anniversary update" your FPS rate in CS:GO is now capped at 60 or lower. To verify this, enable the FPS rate on-screen display by opening the console and typing:
cl_showfps 1
FIX #1
1 - Disable "Game DVR" in the Xbox app: open the app > go to Config > GameDVR > Disable.
FIX #2
1 - Open the Registry Editor (press the Windows key + R and type regedit).
2 - Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore and set the GameDVR_Enabled key to 0.
3 - Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\default\ApplicationManagement\AllowGameDVR and set the value key to 0.
4 - Now if you're too dumb to use the Registry Editor (I'm actually being redundant here - if you use Cancer 10 then you're dumb by definition), just download my fix file below, double click on it and click YES on the window asking if you want to continue:
