EXTRACTION - New Freeware Multiplayer FPS By Splash Damage

Splash Damage, the company that developed ET, has been working for some time on a new freeware online multiplayer game called "Extraction". It was originally called "Dirty Bomb" but they decided to change the name. The game entered a closed beta phase on October 1 and people can (or could) get keys on the game's site to participate - don't know if keys are still available.

I'll probably give it a try when it's released and, if I like it, maybe run a server for it.

It seems that Splash Damage is partnering with different companies to release the game, probably to monetize on it. So, there is actually going to be more than one version of the game and with different names. North America, Europe and Oceania are currently in the "Extraction" zone. Russia and other CIS territories are in the "Dirty Bomb" zone. Can't find any info on where South America, Japan and other parts of the world will fit in.

It is also unclear whether people will be able to run dedicated servers on their own machines like most ET servers are run (including [>NF<]), so players might end up having to connect to servers operated by the company Splash Damage partnered with in each region.

Anyways, I will not be supporting any game that has any kind of territorial restrictions or differences, so if the situation remains like this, [>NF<] is out.
