Back in 2000, I had decided to do some experiments in recording spirit voices. Basically, I would leave the computer room empty with the PC recording audio through a regular microphone for some time and then check if anything had been captured. In my very first attempt, I managed to get this recording, which I called "asma" (asthma), because that's what the voice seemed to be saying:
Asma (original recording)
Asma 2 (after noise reduction)
Asma 2 (reversed)
The first file is the original recording. The microphone sensitivity was set to the highest level possible, so there's a lot of background noise, mainly from the PC's fans. The second file is the same recording after I applied some heavy noise reduction to make the voice clearer. Don't pay attention to the "spacey" sounds, those are artifacts caused by the noise reduction. In the third file, the audio from the second file is reversed.
