Splatter Ladder was designed for fucking CS and was never meant to be used for ET or other games where scores are not the most important player attribute, so in practice it's not much more than a ranking of rambo medics. The GameTracker stats have the same problem - besides time played, all other stats should be seen as nothing more than a curiosity.

Well, first off I just want to say how happy I am that I am not on the list for Time Played. I feel like a spend WAAAAAAAY to much time playing games, but evidently others are spending more. This justifies my continued addiction.

Well, first off, playing with bots wouldnt boost your score, since it means theres a maximum of 6 players at a time. Second, all your comments seem to imply that killing is the only way to get points. Is that true? I hunted around my et docs for some info on how scoring works, but couldnt find any. Maestro?

You're wrong, i din't say anything like that killing is the only way of getting points, actually killing (with an mp40 or thompson) is not the most "lucrative" action for whom wants xp points. For example, constructing something gives the eng more points than a medic healing someone or killing, staying alive for long period gives points too, so if you play with bots as an eng (in a engy map like fuel dump), you could spend the hole map letting them destroy bridges, ramps and cp, kill them and go there and rebuild everything them run to a cabinet and heal yourself to wait the bots destroy everything again... you could make about 15 or 20 xp/min on average only doing that if the server has bots and you know how to aim (it will varies by the map total time)! It's much easier if the server has less bots... If the server has lots of boots you just do a spawnkill with a field (the bots will always do the same route, so you just count the respawn time and repeat it kill) and you'll get much more points... and i didn't count the bots that stucks in some places and you just go there and stab it... And it s not only killing, is the way you kill... killing with a 3 hs will give more then you waste your pent shooting at the enemy's foot...

For Splatter Ladder you only gets up in the ladder if you make more than 10ppm...

I really don't know why you all (that think xp means something) worries about who kills much... if you look at the end and see the points earned, a cover that steals all the enemies uniforms and destroy the cps will have more xp than the fragger!

Healing someone with packs only gives 1pt, reviving you get 3 or 5... you don't earn point by self healing... medic is the less "lucrative" class when earning points is the priority!

In a pub, that is not configured as Stopwatch, doing the objective is not that important... but killing or making point is..

And how many times could a good covert ops destroy CP's in a given time period (don't forget the CP's will take some time till they're rebuilt), and before he gets caught (same for stealing unis)? That comparison may make some sense in theory, but in practice it's a whole different story. Or you could point me to a covert ops in the first places in the Splatter Ladder ranking to prove me wrong.

As I said for whom "that think xp means something" and i was talking about playing with bots. When playing with bots a cover do can steall every uniform from whom he have killed, principaly when each team have only 3 bots, it's easier, he camps behind the enemy's RP (for example and depending the map), he kills (or let the other team members kill for him as the best choice), he steals! The most first page players of Splatter Ladder do not play only as medic, they play as field too... They really do more than 100kills/map but in a server that holds up to 60 players!! Once i did a monster kill spree in BBA with a mortar in gold rush very fast, and almost was the fragger because everytime I shoot i killed 2 or 3 at the respawn exit, and because of killing more players with only one shot i've got more points!! Experienced players will use the can and ffe much better... you remeber at uol that a field, with a spawn counter, can kill almost everybody in gold rush or oasis in every RP... But some players in NF prefer to FFE they're own spawn instead of the enemy's, and that's makes harder for him to get better xp, don't you think?! PPL uses the molotov as they're principal weapon, and complains about the medics... Many times i tried to heal ppl and they just run from me, choosing to face the enemy with less life bar...

And I really see once in NF that a cover that made more xp/min than me as a medic, but i don't know who was him and if he played the hole mas as cover... DasBoot doesn't play only as medic and he is one of the top players in SP that plays in NF, as that guy nicked COMMAND... Playing Battery as allies for example, is better be an eng then Medic, you can build the ramp, and 2 mg almost every respawn... and be a field if you are axis...

For server like F|A or BBA that you'll find 30 players in eatch team, just go as a field and do the spawnkill or camp with a panzer. If you play using a TS with a friend it gets easyer to do more kills...

On the top of your Playerpage you have all Maps you played with your average Score and % after
The % after are calculated from a basis were 100% are the average from all Players
So if you rate 200%, you score 2 times more than the average Player

Down the page you have your last Maps played with the actual Score
the % after is your + or - rating from your average score of this map
If you are rated 200% and you make 220% on the Map you will have +20% in this Session"
