The Sacred Emperor's final decision regarding teabagging

#1

Post by Pedro-NF »

After careful consideration, I hereby announce my decision regarding the act of teabagging during games on the [>NF<] Server:

NO PLAYER WILL BE WARNED OR KICKED OR PUNISHED IN ANY WAY FOR TEABAGGING REFEREES OR OTHER PLAYERS, WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS.

This decision is final and irrevocable, and was reached based on the following points:

1 - Unlike private messaging, inviting to fireteams, pushing other players unnecessarily, and other actions that may interfere with gameplay, teabagging doesn't affect gameplay in any way other than psychologically, and it is a part of any game involving a dispute between teams to try to psychologically affect the opposing team.

2 - Teabagging in a game is, above all, a joke, and shouldn't be associated with any real life episodes players may have experienced. That would be equivalent to banning self killing in the game because of players who might have had to deal with cases of suicide of people close to them, or even ban killing other players at all, considering that most people probably have experienced some act of violence that affected them in real life.

3 - Allowing for exceptions in this case would open an undesirable precedent, since other players might also decide they don't want to be teabagged and this would lead to an uncontrollable situation, besides all the stress this would bring to the game, which is the absolute opposite of what I want for the server.

I must add that I won't allow any of the parts involved in this dispute to make fun, cause embarassment or harass each other in any way because of what has been decided. Those who engage in such activities will be rigidly punished.

"Was he crazy!"
"Yeah, in a very special way. An Irishman."
